Presenter instructions
Language support
If you would like English language feedback on your slides or poster, please contact [email protected] before 15th August. She will arrange someone to provide feedback.
Talks and speed talks
Talks should be 15 minutes long, while speed talks will be 5 minutes.
We are requesting that ALL presenters pre-record and submit their talks as video files. so that connection problems do not disrupt the sessions and those in different time zones can access the talks at a time that is suitable for them. A useful guide to recording a talk in Zoom can be found here. (See upload link below) You must upload your talk by Monday 8th September.
Posters
Posters should be submitted in advance (see link below). The deadline for poster submission is Monday 8th September. They will be uploaded into an interactive ‘poster session’ area which will be accessible through the whole conference, and where the live poster session will take place.
- Poster appearance:
- Landscape orientation
- Use sans-serif fonts like Arial, Helvetica, or Calibri to reduce problems for those with dyslexia.
- Ensure that text and images are clearly visible on a computer screen or tablet.
- Ensure that your poster works in black and white for those with partial or full colour-blindness.
- File Format:
- Submit your poster in PDF format to maintain formatting and quality.
- 2-minute video/audio:
- You are encouraged to record a 2-minute ‘talk through’ of your poster. This will be accessible with your poster in the ‘poster room’ online throughout the conference for those who cannot attend the poster session.
